Karnataka Circle Directs Divisions to Expedite Preparations for a Smooth Transition
Download Verification from McCamishIn preparation for the upcoming migration from McCamish to the new Insurance Management Solution (IMS), the Karnataka Circle has directed all circles and divisions to immediately commence data verification activities, following the instructions conveyed by the Postal Life Insurance (PLI) Directorate during a video conference held on October 27, 2026.
The initiative aims to ensure the accuracy and completeness of migrated policy data and facilitate a smooth transition to the new IMS platform.
Key Instructions for Data Verification
1. Generation of BOSO Report
All divisions are required to generate and maintain the BOSO Report up to August 31, 2026, as the baseline for the data verification exercise.
2. Migration Data Availability
CEPT will push the relevant migration data into the IMS environment by October 28, 2026, enabling the concerned divisions to initiate verification activities.
3. Category-Wise Policy Verification
Verification must cover both active and lapsed/closed policies according to the category-wise sampling criteria prescribed in the Karnataka Circle's letter No. KTK/PLI/2-35/IMS2.0/Dlgs dated September 15, 2026.
For example, under Category A, covering policies with a sum assured of ₹0–25,000, a total of 1,500 policies must be verified, comprising 1,200 active policies and 300 lapsed/closed policies.
All divisions must follow the prescribed verification procedures and sampling matrix to ensure consistency and accuracy.
Deployment of Dedicated Staff
To complete the verification within the stipulated timelines without affecting regular operations, divisions have been instructed to immediately nominate three to five additional staff members exclusively for data verification.
These personnel will work in addition to the existing CPC staff. The regular CPC staff will focus on clearing pending service requests and resolving pending disbursement discrepancies.
Training and Capacity Building
The Karnataka Circle has also reviewed the training imparted to staff across the Bengaluru (BG), North Karnataka (NK), and South Karnataka (SK) divisions.
As reported, the training completed so far includes
•Master Trainers: 12
•User Champions: 147
•CPC Staff: 92
•Counter Staff: 82
•Administrative Staff: 20
Further training has been planned for the remaining personnel. The prescribed training targets include 120 User Champions and 290 CPC staff across the three divisions, in accordance with the training plan outlined in the communication.
The remaining training is to be conducted as prescribed for User Champions, CPC staff, administrative staff, and end users, including counter staff, GDS personnel, and Salesforce users.
