FNPO Urges Department of Posts to End Harassment of Postal Employees Over Business Targets

The Federation of National Postal Organisations (FNPO) has urged the Department of Posts to address the increasing pressure and alleged harassment faced by postal employees in the name of business target achievement. In a letter dated 28 October 2026, addressed to the Secretary, Department of Posts, FNPO Secretary General Sivaji Vasireddy highlighted concerns regarding the practices adopted by divisional and sub-divisional heads.

The letter acknowledges that increasing revenue and improving organisational performance are important objectives. However, it expresses concern that the methods adopted by certain middle-level officers to achieve business targets are causing humiliation, stress and emotional distress among operational staff.
