Department of Posts Directs Circles to Complete Pending GDS Compassionate Engagement Cases by November 10
The Department of Posts, Ministry of Communications, has directed all Postal Circles to expedite the processing of pending Gramin Dak Sevak (GDS) Compassionate Engagement (CCE) cases under the APT 2.0 portal. In an official letter dated October 30, 2026, the Department emphasized that every pending case must receive a final decision by November 10, 2026.

The directive follows a review of the Circle-wise status of CCE cases as of October 28, 2026. According to the Department, Odisha Circle has not conducted the CCE for any of the cases migrated to APT 2.0. The Circle has been asked to furnish details of all cases migrated to the portal as of August 31, 2026, along with reasons for the non-processing of these cases.
